A must for all book lovers, Heather Givan’s third collection for Windham Fabrics celebrates all things book related. Whether you love ornate book covers, pretty book spines or if it is the text that does it for you this collection will have what you are looking for. There are 25 fabrics in the collection altogether, including a fabulous stamped date print remininscent of the date stamps you used to get in the front of library books before it all went digital. There’s also a text print which has the entire text of Anne of Green Gables on it as well as stacks of books, rows of books and some co-ordinated blenders.
The fabrics have a pretty colour palette of blue, purple and grey with pops of brighter colours like yellow plus some low volume white and grey prints too. The prints come in two colourways, Heartfelt (purples) and Touching (blues). There’s some great inspiration in the Literary look book here. I adore the book bag above, and the Personal Library quilt shown below. The pattern for this fab book shelf design quilt will be available on Heather’s website next month and through other select stockists. It has hopped straight onto my ‘to make’ list.
Literary will be in shops from April, it might be May before we see it in the UK.
